The Structural/Building Engineer is responsible for the review, analysis, approval and stamping of building plan sets for submission to local building departments. This individual works with internal groups in creating company and/or local standards allowing for expedited permitting processes, while partnering with company stakeholders in answering product specific questions related to Engineering requirements. The essential functions for this position include but are not strictly limited to: Evaluate/modify drawing sets for structural requirements Perform and validate structural calculations as they relate to non-habitable structures, including roof truss loading Solve design issues related to engineering documents Stamp applicable drawing sets Assist in the evaluation of new product offerings and provide feedback JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Knowledge of National and Local Building codes and standards such as IBC, IRC, NFPA and others as applicable Experience using AutoCad in an Engineering Environment; 2+ years preferred Experience using Truss design software strongly preferred Experience in designing concrete structures such as foundations, slabs, step walls and retaining walls preferred EDUCATION/LICENSES Education

Major/Minor in Structural Engineering is strongly preferred or equivalent verifiable work experience

Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree required

Licenses

Preference in current licensing to include CO, CA, FL, NV, AZ with at least 5-10 additional states across the USA Current PE license in multiple states is required.
