Mined from two uniquely pure ore bodies, Sibelco IOTA® HPQ is used to make fused quartz, a material with unparalleled optical, mechanical and thermal properties that make it indispensable in the manufacture of high-tech products such as semiconductors, solar photovoltaic cells, optical fibre and quartz lighting. Today, almost all IOTA® products are exported thousands of miles from North Carolina to Asia's specialist electronics and solar PV markets.

As part of the further development of our Spruce Pine operation in the USA, we are now looking for a Sales Manager who will assist Sibelco in continually growing as the world's leading provider of HPQ.

  • You will be responsible for achieving maximum profitable growth and sales objectives (volume, net sales, and gross margin) in line with Sibelco's vision, strategic objectives and policies.
  • You are fully accountable for the sales of Sibelco HPQ products in the USA and across the globe.
  • You are responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, commercialize new products and develop sales into new applications in conjunction with the technical and operations teams.
  • The Sales Manager knows and understands the semiconductor, fibre optics and solar panels markets, as well as the key players active globally and builds the necessary market intelligence to retain and extend the Sibelco's customer portfolio. He/she will be able to qualify customers and discuss complex technical solutions with/for them.
About you:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Marketing and/or Mining/Chemical Engineering with strong business acumen
  • For credibility, significant prior experience in a new sales (hunter)/BD role in HPQ or any semiconductor manufacturing related products/raw materials or related industry
  • Fluent English is absolutely vital and further languages (Spanish, German, Mandarin, etc.) are an asset
