This NICU Clinical Assistant will be responsible for: Under the supervision of the registered nurse the Clinical Assistant (CA) will help provide basic bedside nursing care for complex medical and surgical neonatal patients. In collaboration with the registered nurse, the CA may be responsible for obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, and oxygen saturation measurements, while identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to the registered nurse. The CA may assist with transporting patients, stocking of supplies and equipment as needed. The CA role provides the opportunity to practice in a family centered environment. To qualify, you must have: 1-year CA experience, CNA certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation. A HS Diploma or equivalent. Good communication skills. The ability to work within a team. The ability to work a schedule of 12 hour shifts, 50% day/night rotation, every third weekend with holiday requirements.
