Job purpose The Club Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the Club and Senior Club Accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This role involves managing a team of accountants, overseeing the financial operations of the golf club(s), including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role involves working closely with the club management and senior leadership. Duties and responsibilities Managing, training, and developing a team of Club and Senior Club Accountants Monthly support and review of team's financial statements Lead various department special projects initiatives. Maintain a documented system of departmental and consolidated accounting policies and procedures. Perform club accountant responsibilities for a group of assigned clubs. Interact, where appropriate, with the associated Clients/HOAs Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries, and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers Performing month-end processes Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods Sold Analysis Balance sheet reconciliations Financials statement analysis Cash flow forecasting and management. Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management. Sales & Use tax filings Payroll reconciliations Financial statements audits and reviews Assist in the production of the annual budget and forecasts. Comply with applicable local, state, and federal government requirements and tax filings. Perform other accounting functions as directed by senior management. Qualifications Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 5+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment preferably in a country club or real estate development environment Supervisory experience in an accounting department required. Experience with club specific software, such as Jonas, IBS, Club essentials, and NorthStar. A self-starter, that can work independently during the month-end close process. Personable and can communicate with accountants and non-accountants alike. A multi-tasker that can work in multiple sets of books while meeting their required deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent computer skills Accounting software applications experience (QuickBooks) Proficient in all Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word Strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll Exceptional work ethic and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously. Gracious, tactful, and courteous in dealing with members and staff. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
