Must be supportive and capable of having professional relationships with patients who have a terminal illness. Consistently display commitment to customers through words and actions. Qualifications: Required: + BCLS + Maintain a current state of New Jersey license + Must be an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Registered Radiation Therapist + Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology Program + Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist (R) Preferred: + Bachelor's degree Certifications and Licenses Required: + BCLS + Maintain a current state of New Jersey license + Must be an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Registered Radiation Therapist Scheduling Requirements: + Shift working, day shift + Per Diem Essentials Functions: + Educates patients and families to meet identified learning needs + Maintains accurate and complete therapy records for each patient + Review charts daily for changes to prescription, plans, calculations, and blocking + Safely and accurately administers radiation therapy in an efficient manner according to guideline + Accurately positions patient according to instructions provided in the chart and delivers the prescribed radiation dose and treatment + Check for correct prescription, treatment plan, calculations, simulation/setup information, and signed consent before the initiation of radiation treatment per site / plan Choosing RWJBarnabas Health RWJBarnabas Health is the premier health care destination providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner, while delivering a best-in-class work experience to every member of the team.
