Must be supportive and capable of having professional relationships with patients who have a terminal illness. Consistently display commitment to customers through words and actions. Qualifications: Required: BCLS Maintain a current state of New Jersey license Must be an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Registered Radiation Therapist Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology Program Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist (R) Preferred: Bachelor's degree Certifications and Licenses Required: BCLS Maintain a current state of New Jersey license Must be an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Registered Radiation Therapist Scheduling Requirements: Shift working, day shift Per Diem Essentials Functions: Educates patients and families to meet identified learning needs Maintains accurate and complete therapy records for each patient Review charts daily for changes to prescription, plans, calculations, and blocking Safely and accurately administers radiation therapy in an efficient manner according to guideline Accurately positions patient according to instructions provided in the chart and delivers the prescribed radiation dose and treatment Check for correct prescription, treatment plan, calculations, simulation/setup information, and signed consent before the initiation of radiation treatment per site / plan Choosing RWJBarnabas Health RWJBarnabas Health is the premier health care destination providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner, while delivering a best-in-class work experience to every member of the team.
