Job Description

This position is for a Software Quality Engineer (SQE) with proven manual and automation testing skills. An ideal candidate will have distributed system testing experience, analytical abilities, teamwork and communication skills, and ability to maintain and extend test automation. This person works as part of IV Solutions team to design and develop new products as well as maintain current portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure software meets quality standards by designing test plans, driving test planning, performing test execution, and issue tracking
  • Work with scrum team to test and validate code using manual and automation tools.
  • Ability and desire to debug issues using log files and understand software code.
  • Implement test automation for systems where none exists to extend our current capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and, resolve product issues as they arise. Maintain documentation of test results; analyze test results and recommend resolutions.
  • Support the application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support). Follow established development, documentation, testing and deployment processes.
  • Work cross functionally to resolve complex customer problems.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies, including: black box, grey box, and white box testing; feature, functional, continuous integration, and regression testing
  • Proven skills and experience in Embedded system testing and automating Client Application workflows
  • Understanding of application lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), GIT, or similar
  • Knowledge of log analysis to diagnose issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining on-task
  • Knowledge of testing architectures
  • Experience working on an Agile development team
  • Ability to identify, own, and solve problems independently or as part of a team
  • Experience programming using C, C++
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in software testing, developing mission critical applications to commercial/enterprise markets
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Embedded Systems
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry
  • Experience with MS SQL Server/Oracle
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
