This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical skills and a good understanding of electrical systems. Job Responsibilities Maintain a scheduled preventative maintenance program that reduces downtime, increases equipment reliability, and improves overall efficiency. Oversee maintenance projects and work with Production Manager to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget requirements. Investigate and troubleshoot equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence. Manage and document maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and work order history. Respond immediately to machine breakdowns and ensure machines are repaired in a timely manner. Carry out PLC repairs and updates. Collaborate with production to ensure equipment meets operational requirements and regulatory compliance. Person Specification Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, with the ability to strip and re-assemble machinery. Strong mechanical and electrical skills with a relevant engineering qualification, such as an ONC/OND/HNC or an Electrical qualification - 18th edition. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Knowledge of current environmental and health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance. Continuously improve technical knowledge and stay up to date with advances in technology, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
