Description: Sourcing Analyst/Trader

The Distressed and Special Situations trading desk is looking for an analyst for the New York City office

Role:

Looking for a junior analyst to work with both senior trading and sales people on the distressed desk in NY. You will be working closely with people focused on finding investment opportunities for the firm and its clients. The analyst will join a team that specializes in sourcing and purchasing distressed claims and other securities. This role will grow into generating trading ideas, engagement with clients and managing risk.
  • Source and purchase trade claims and other assets related to bankruptcy cases and other financial restructurings.
  • Negotiate and structure deal terms and contracts
  • Market the firm products and services
Qualifications:
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Self starter, ability to work autonomously and as a team player
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses (or ability to pass exams)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 to $120,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
