The Town of Falmouth seeks a people-oriented professional with excellentattention to detail and customer service to serve as our Assistant HumanResources Director. The ideal candidate has a strong background inmunicipal wage, compensation, and benefits administration and ispassionate about assisting the Human Resources Director in enhancing thedepartment?s operations to best serve our approximately 600 full-time,part-time, per diem, on-call, and seasonal employees. The AssistantDirector assists the Director with the development, oversight, andmaintenance of the Town?s comprehensive human resources functions andprograms, with an emphasis on wage, compensation, and benefitsadministration. The Assistant Human Resources Director also assists withthe supervision of two full-time employees. This position ensures thepayroll accuracy of employee pay, benefits, and contractual provisions,reconciles payroll liability accounts, and coordinates theimplementation of labor agreements and employee contracts. The AssistantDirector also develops procedures, resolves problems, and prepares andprocesses complex forms, correspondence, and reports. This position alsoassists and advises employees, managers, vendors, applicants, or othersregarding human resource functions and services. The Assistant Directorwill play a pivotal role in the implementation of our new integratedHRIS. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in human resourcemanagement, public administration, business, or related field and aminimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible professionalhuman resources experience, preferably in municipal government; or anyequivalent combination of education, training, or experience whichdemonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesnecessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Supervisoryexperience is preferred and municipal experience is strongly preferred.Applicants must be able to maintain confidential and privileged employeeand collective bargaining information and must possess and maintain aClass D Massachusetts motor vehicle operator?s license. Applicants mustalso be able to successfully pass a C.O.R.I. background check. The idealcandidate will have strong communication and technology skills andexcellent attention to detail and customer service skills. Applicantsmust have the ability to effectively work and interact with individualsand groups of various abilities, cultures, backgrounds, and identities.Salary: Anticipated starting range of \$86,756.80 to \$92,768.00, DOQ,with comprehensive benefits.
