Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Department: Administration
Reports to: General Manager
FLSA Status: Full Time - Exempt
Prepared/Updated: April, 2024

Tower Industries, Ltd., has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager located at their headquarters in the Massillon, Ohio area. Tower Industries is a family-owned company with a successful history and strong growth plan. This position does not have any direct reports and the successful candidate must be able to manage the department and execute all tasks associated with Human Resources.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
•Manage and/or create employee job descriptions
•Manage recruiting efforts
•Manage employment processes, including hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, promotion, transfer, performance evaluations, discipline & corrective action, termination, and exit
•Manage compensation and administer benefits (using third party benefits administrator)
•Create and distribute employee communications
•Promote employee retention
•Work closely with other managers and department heads to understand staffing needs
•Maintain compliance with all federal, state and local human resources regulations and programs

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred

Five years proven HR and leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Strong working knowledge of federal/state/local labor regulations

Experience with EOS preferred

Microsoft Office Software to include Word, Excel, Outlook; Paychex
