Role

The Strategic Finance Analyst will report directly to the Head of FP&A and will work closely with the CFO and the other members of the Senior Leadership Team to forecast and communicate company financial performance and actual variances from expectations. The Strategic Finance Analyst will support internal incubations, in addition to the Red Cell Platform team.

This position will assist with the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan, margin analysis, variance analysis, and special projects. The Analyst will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making.

The right candidate for this position will have the ability to analyze the key drivers of the business model.

Responsibilities

Analyze current and past trends in all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives Perform market analysis at both the company and product levels Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making Manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, cash forecasting, operating plan, and modeling tools Create and brief quarterly and monthly financial analysis Implement financial dashboards and work with business intelligence tools Evaluate and refine internal processes and understand ROI of marketing programs, menu pricing, new product rollouts, and new projects Support Senior Leadership Team, department heads, and incubation teams with in-depth analysis Prepare presentations to Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and investors Assist business development in pricing for products and services Work cross-functionally with bookkeepers, accountant, Controller, CFO and BD/Sales team to ensure daily work meets strategic intent Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications:

2-5 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, Associate in Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Strategy or similar

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (or similar) Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and work within a team Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively, assertively, and confidently with a wide variety of people while building constructive relationships Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized Strong analytical skills; ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems Creative thinker; highly driven and self-motivated Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong listening skills Effective in a variety of presentation settings from one-on-one to large groups - both internally and externally Discretion in handling confidential information Ability to manage multiple deadlines
