Join Our Team as a Locum OB/GYN Physician Longmont, CO Are you a dedicated OB/GYN physician seeking a flexible and impactful opportunity? We invite qualified candidates to provide essential coverage at Longmont United Hospital for urgent November holiday needs. This long-term locum position offers a rewarding chance to make a difference during a critical time, ensuring continuous care for women in a dynamic inpatient setting. In this role, you will handle emergent gynecological and obstetric cases, including deliveries and C-sections, in a Level III Trauma Emergency Room environment. Your expertise will support patient needs during high-demand periods while working closely with experienced nursing staff and support personnel. The position requires dedication, technical skill, and the ability to work independently during 24-hour shifts. Required Skills: Valid medical license and current OB/GYN certification Proven experience in obstetrics and gynecology emergency procedures Ability to perform C-sections and manage obstetric emergencies Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically EPIC Strong communication and decision-making skills Willingness to work 24-hour shifts and flexible schedules Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Skills: Experience in trauma or emergency obstetric care Prior exposure to inpatient hospital settings Bilingual skills to serve diverse patient populations Additional certifications in advanced obstetric or gynecological procedures Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of recent OB/GYN practice, especially in inpatient or emergency settings Previous experience working in Level III trauma centers preferred Other Requirements: Willing to stay at the designated hotel in Longmont; preference for local candidates or those able to drive Capable of working and being on call during the specified November dates (Nov 27-29, with ongoing shifts as schedules are released) Complete credentialing, EMR training, and all required documentation prior to the start date Travel from local area preferred; travel exceptions to be disclosed during application Must pass background checks and hold active licenses and certifications Compensation Rate: Please inquire for hourly pay details This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OB/GYN to join a committed team, contribute to critical patient care, and enjoy a professional environment that values your expertise.
