Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move Primary Duties: Conducts patient interviews to identify contraindicated implants, foreign bodies, and other medical conditions of concern. Identifies and performs appropriate examinations based on patient history.Verifies prescription and protocol. Uses appropriate imaging parameters. Injects contrast based on patient weight after verifying the patient's renal function status. Verifies image quality prior to ending the examination. Appropriately documents examination. Verifies the examinations is correct in both Cerner, PACS, Pen Rad and Dyna CAD (when applicable).Assists in organizing and maintaining inventory of supplies. Ensures the work area is maintained at a high state of cleanliness. Promptly prepares films and CDs upon request.Assists with protocol development and implementation. Assists with the training of new personnel and Radiology School students regarding procedures, imaging protocols and department policy.Collects quality control data for manager, such as film usage, equipment problems, etc. 9. Completes all required information system functions to assure proper patient information, billing, examination, and other necessary functions.Qualifications:Associate degree or formal training in an American Medical Association accredited school of Radiologic Technology/Magnetic Resonance Imaging.Job-related experience and/or successful completion of a formal MRI educational training program.Successful Completion of either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI examination or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) examination within one year of date of hire for unregistered technologists.BLS (Basic Life Support).This position has a hiring range of $34.98 -$59.26
