Job Requirements

  • Staff Accountant - Temporary
  • Location: Onsite in Carrollton, TX
  • Open Positions: TWO (2)
  • Pay Range: $40-$51/hr. - Salary - Depends on Experience
  • Reports to: Controller
Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and forward-thinking accounting professional with high ethical standards who can relate to people at all levels of our organization. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented with 3 years of core accounting experience and will thrive while operating in a dynamic, growth-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Preparing journal entries
  • Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts
  • Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing adjusting journal entries
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
  • Maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts
  • Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
  • Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
  • Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
  • Assist with other projects as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • (S) Effective analytical skills to sort, check and verify accounting figures
  • (A) Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a face-paced environment
  • (S) Careful attention to detail
  • (S) Good communication skills
  • (K) Familiarity with enterprise business systems
  • (S) Strong Microsoft Office application knowledge (especially Excel)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • In office environment
Education and Experience:
  • Three (3) years of accounting, bookkeeping, and finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required
  • CPA is highly desirable
