ACRS seeks a full-time Specialist II - Senior Center Health & Wellness (in person) who is responsible for coordinating health and wellness programs and activities including evidence-based and evidence-informed programs of the Club Bamboo Senior Center, program partners and affiliates throughout King County. Schedule: Mon - Fri, no weekend work Competitive Benefits Package includes: Pay range is between $28 to $30 hourly. Can increase based on experience with possible increases after 6 months from date of hire. Collects and analyzes attendance data, including but not limited to age, race, ethnicity, and geographic region. Assists in the management, maintenance, and improvement of MySeniorCenter database. Ensures internal and external reporting requirements related to senior health and wellness programming are met. Assists in creating and managing a welcoming and safe space for seniors, applying de-escalation skills as needed. Coordinates health and wellness programming for seniors at partner and affiliate sites to include participant enrollment and registration, planning logistics with partner sites, data collection and reporting, and assist in providing information and assistance services as needed. Travels to and works on-site at partner sites based on needs of the program partners and affiliates. Coordinates with King County Department of Community and Human Services, Sound Generations, external consultants, instructors, partnering agencies, and internal staff at ACRS to ensure compliance with evidence-based (e.g. EnhanceFitness) and evidence-informed (e.g. acupuncture) health program requirements. Actively monitor client's participation in physical activities to ensure safety and well-being of the members. Collaborates with the team in identifying needs and recommends safe and appropriate activities to support member's functional and activity goals. Participates in member/family discussion and education related to safety, risk, and other issues that may arise during member's participation in the program. Designs and markets Senior Health and Wellness promotional information on bulletin boards, resource tables, community gathering spaces, events, and intranet. Responsible for meal order coordination, and accurate billing to appropriate program or location codes. Review program invoices and submits check requests to the Senior Center Coordinator for approval. Attends all agency, program and team meetings and in-service trainings. Other job-related duties as assigned by management. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Master's or bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Science; OR Bachelor's degree in unrelated field plus three (3) years of social service experience; OR Associate's degree or equivalent in Social Science and five (5) years social services experience. Ability to provide effective and respectful quality care and services that are responsive to diverse cultural beliefs and practices. Prefer fluency in Asian/Pacific Islander language. Effective ability to navigate a personal computer. Competency in use of the Microsoft Office and other relevant software for word processing, calendaring, e-mail, and data entry. Efficiently research and perform various tasks via the internet. Must have reliable transportation. If using a personal or an agency vehicle to fulfill job duties, must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under ACRS's auto policy. If using a personal vehicle, must have current auto insurance including coverage for work-related business. Working Conditions: Regularly required to move about the office, senior center, and other locations; use hands and fingers for data entry, document handling, creating and assembling promotional materials, coordinating financial transactions, and operating office equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, including setting up equipment for activities, handling supplies, and arranging materials for promotional displays. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data entry and document review, as well as the ability to adjust focus for creating promotional materials and monitoring activities. Work is performed in person in office or senior center. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
