As a GPU Systems Software Engineer, you will develop software that enables GPU developers around the world to create outstanding applications that are power efficient and make innovative use of our chip and software feature set.We are seeking a senior software developer to join our effort to advance the state of the art of software performance tuning applications for GPUs. You will apply your knowledge gained of current and future NVIDIA chip architectures to improve our tools that provide meaningful feedback to application developers. Help inventors the world over who will depend on the creative products that you worked on to deliver. Join our team and bring new technologies to market with sophisticated simulation/emulation systems and be among the first to breathe life into new silicon.What you'll be doing:Coordinate with other Nsight profiling tools' teams for innovative approaches to design of power and performance feature sets.Analyzing hardware and software components required to deliver next generation performance tools for profiling and monitoring.Ensuring observability of power assessment and management critical to efficient hardware usage.Prototyping new methods to collect performance analysis data with the goal of improving quality of GPU developer tools while reducing both time to market and cost to market for tools.Work with NVIDIA's GPU Architecture and Developer Technology teams to refine data collection methodology and practices for GPU and SOC power measurement and management strategies.What we need to see:B.S. EE/CS (or equivalent experience) with 4+ years of work experience or MS with 2+ years experience, or Ph.D.Knowledge of computer architecture (e.g.: x86, ARM CPUs, GPUs)Solid understanding of hardware pipeline concepts, with a willingness to work at a detailed implementation level.Strong programming ability in C, C++, and scripting languages (python preferred).Passion for learning hardware and software.Experience in performance analysis, particularly of GPU applications.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Strong background in performance analysis tools and performance monitor hardware.Experience in CUDA or GPU programming models.In-depth experience with profiler tools including CPU, GPU, and networking.Experience in device driver development.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology worlds most desirable employers.
