Our Offer:
  • Pay range is $30-$34 per hour.
  • Up to 20 hours per week overtime.

Objective

The Installation Automation Technician will provide direction and follow direction of the installation, maintenance, and monitoring services for production and automation equipment in Material Handling industries. The individual's ability to learn and become the go-to expert on the various tool sets, specifications, maintenance, preventative maintenance, requirements, training, and associated duties will be a must. These activities must be performed to ensure work is performed in a safe and efficient manner. All work will be performed inside cleanrooms, where special clothing (cleanroom suit, gloves, hood, etc.) and site-specific rules apply.

Scope of Duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Automation Material Handling Systems (AMHS) installation repair, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance, and/or adjustments necessary to keep the equipment at maximum performance and capability.
  • Responsible for participating in the maintenance, the condition of the shop, laydown areas, work areas, toolboxes, parts, etc. used for installation/repair/maintenance at assigned site as assigned by key stakeholders
  • Perform work with excellence, safely and efficient manner and be able to communicate the required tasks and duties to others in a clear, concise manner.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of technical install experience, required.
  • Promotable with an Associates Degree or Higher
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required.
  • Must be a strong self-starter and capable of working with minimal supervision from management.
  • Leadership in the installing of AMHS, electrical and mechanical equipment with extreme tight tolerances, preferred.
  • Three to six years of relevant automation experience, preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of automation, robotics, and semi-conductor industries a plus.
  • Cleanroom experience a plus.
  • Domestic/International Travel up to 30%.
    • Must maintain current vaccinations as required by customers sites require (e.g., Covid 19 & Boosters).
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
  • Physical effort is necessary. Able to lift 50 lbs., walk and stand for extended periods of time, able to work on equipment and overhead equipment at heights on a ladder or scaffold.
  • The ability to work at heights on a ladder (10' to 14') on overhead equipment is a mandatory requirement.

Fabmatics USA headquarters is in Utica, New York. Our technician for this position must reside in the Roseville, CA area.
