Overview:

Chicago Title's downtown Chicago Loop operation seeks an escrow officer to coordinate, close and fund residential transactions in a large, dynamic market.

Duties:

Review documents and closing instructions submitted by attorneys and lenders for compliance and requirements to close
Communicate requirements and give status updates to all parties in the transaction whether those parties are in person or remotely attending the closing
Finalize settlement statements and distribute to appropriate parties
Create transaction documents as required based on the requirements, instructions and details of each transaction
Obtain signatures and notarize documents
Work with title and underwriting to clear title exceptions
Receive, disburse and obtaining funding approval for escrow closings
Timely submission of accurate documents for recording

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

2+ years escrow experience
Commercial transaction experience a plus
SoftPro Select software experience preferred
