Together.SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Sector Marketing, this position will work closely with firm lawyers and other marketing team members to support select marketing and business development activities for DLA Piper's sector initiatives in the US. The position requires a self-starter, with accomplished critical thinking skills, who can partner with other marketing, business development, administrative and executive team members to achieve business objectives.LocationThis position can be remote. Candidates may be required on occasion to visit the local office when/if needed. ResponsibilitiesThis role will work closely with our Marketing Manager team on strategic client growth projects, pitches/RFPs, content development, experience tracking, directory submissions and other research related to demonstrating our expertise to clients. The role will support sectors across the United States and will be called upon to assist with other projects as needed.Assists with key client growth initiatives such as Key Clients, Client Feedback and Intersections.Conducts and coordinates research (with firm research/library teams) on clients, filings, trends, law firm competitors to help position practice/sector group in pitches and proposals and demonstrate expertise in the marketplace.Assists in compiling presentations, key metrics and reports to leadership.Works with other Directors and Marketing Managers on other key sector group projects as requested/appropriate.Actively participates in lawyer meetings as requested/appropriate.Utilizes the Marketing Resource System (MRS) to track all workflow; InterAction for CRM and Experience Hub for experience reporting.Other duties as assigned.Desired SkillsIdeal candidate will be a high-energy, savvy marketing professional, with strong writing and presentation skills, and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills critical, with a keen attention to detail. Communication and data analysis skills, client service orientation, project management, and the ability to generate immediate credibility with firm lawyers are also essential. DLA Piper's Marketing team is highly collaborative and quickly re-prioritizes as demands and deadlines change. Our ideal candidate must work well in this team environment where most interaction is "virtual".
