Description

SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative manages customer interactions and inquiries, providing world-class customer service, and supporting internal teams with administrative tasks. General duties include but are not limited to answering customer and retailer calls, responding to emails and messages, providing detailed product information, processing orders, addressing and resolving complaints, creating small parcel shipments, and assisting with account maintenance.

This position is onsite at our Ferndale Facility. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7AM - 4:30PM

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
  • Provide accurate information and solutions to customer problems.
  • Educate customers and retailers on general nutrition, related to Barlean's products.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's product lines, ingredients, and benefits.
  • Create and maintain customer accounts and update records.
  • Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Enter retailer and consumer orders.
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite products.
  • A professional and positive demeanor.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and a sense of humor.
  • Experience with or interest in nutritional supplements and the health and wellness industry preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer service role required, preferably in the nutritional supplements, health, and/or wellness industry.
  • Experience in other service positions is also valuable and desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a call center and office environment. Must have the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Work may require flexible hours with occasional evening or weekend work.
