ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet® designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.
Position Summary
- This role is responsible for the management of key organizational projects throughout the project life cycle by following ECU Health's Project Management Framework.
- Management of organizational projects ranging from small to medium project size and low to moderate complexity under direct supervision of a more seasoned project or program manager. The projects will be managed utilizing the PM framework and methodology (Waterfall, Agile & Hybrid) guidelines to deliver initiatives on schedule and on budget while meeting the needs of the project sponsor units.
- Projects may be cross-functional in nature and may require participation across multiple business units.
- Responsible for building project plan to work breakdown structure (WBS) level with team participation.
- Responsible for creating and managing project budgets.
- Responsible for managing issues, risks, decisions and assumptions.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher
- 5+ years of professional Project Management experience leading and executing projects that are focused in a department or individual operating unit required
- PMP certification preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
