We are looking for qualified, motivated experienced professionals who have taken a break to invest in their families and loved ones and are now looking to ReInvest in their career. Our ReInvest Program is a 6 month paid program, beginning September and ending late March. Opportunities are available across a number of business units.

What You'll Do:

  • Spend 6 months in a paid returnship program with a cohort of your peers
  • Take on meaningful project work based on your expertise and experience
  • Participate in development workshops and training sessions designed to support your career re-entry
  • Have regular check-ins with a mentor who can advise and guide you

What We're Looking For:

  • You have taken a career break for one year or more and are interested in getting back to full-time work
  • You have had a minimum 3 to 5 years professional work experience prior to your career break, at Associate-SVP level
  • You are a person of integrity, with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Who You'll Work With:

The Portfolio Management Group ("PMG") is responsible for portfolio implementation and supports the global portfolio management teams by implementing portfolio decisions and serving as the contact point with the trading desks, operations, and sales teams. Functions may include portfolio construction, monitoring asset exposures and allocations, managing client specific requests, tax management, monitoring pre-trade client guideline compliance and exception resolution.

Associate Portfolio Managers (APM) are responsible for supporting our global Portfolio Management teams through accurate and efficient implementation of portfolio decisions. They support all asset classes and work closely with teams across the AB enterprise, including investment management, operations, technology, sales, and trading. An APM should show an interest in financial markets and will develop a deep understanding of our products, operational policies, and procedures.

As part of the business, the APM role offers high visibility to the Investment team as well as other areas of the firm-Sales, Product Development, Middle Office, Compliance, and Technology and Operations. This role enables an individual to experience all aspects of the asset management business.

What You'll Do:

As an APM a candidate must ensure the efficient implementation of trades, including reviewing compliance with guidelines and

  • Continually monitor portfolios to ensure guideline compliance, portfolio and security data accuracy, performance reporting and analysis for ad-hoc requests
  • Coordinate with Portfolio Managers on ongoing strategy, and trades request
  • Facilitate successful account opening/closings and liaise with sales and portfolio management to address client requests
  • Identify opportunities and partner with technologists to re-engineer and automate processes to increase operational efficiency, improve client service and enhance risk controls
  • Provide support to Portfolio Managers, Sales, Trading and Operations to deliver against client requirements

Candidates must have outstanding attention to detail, coupled with a proven ability to think logically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, often under time pressure and across multiple tasks.

Specific requirements include:

  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for process improvement and leveraging technology to solve complex business problems
  • Strong interest / experience in financial markets, notably asset management
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills paired with a strong desire to work in a team-oriented organization
  • Exceptional understanding of risk management and overall control environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite
  • Strong soft skills such as adaptability and creativity
