About The Opportunity
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities and collecting trash to ensure the building's occupants have a clean space.
Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides daily cleaning and various general maintenance services
  • Maintain a neat and orderly janitor's room; ensuring cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and breakrooms including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and shampooing floors.
  • Ensure facility and other public areas are free from debris and in good condition
  • Assist in examining the work area for safety hazards; report deficiencies to the Manager in a timely manner.
  • Report major damages to Manager.
  • Oversees and pro-actively cleans and sets up conference rooms in preparation for company business needs, including moving tables, chairs, whiteboards, podiums, beverages stocked in refrigerators, etc.
  • Report the need for minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing lighting fixtures, painting or unclogging pipes
  • Empties trash and recyclables into the designated receptacles.
  • Performs seasonal grounds maintenance including picking up debris, mowing, picking weeds, trimming and snow removal utilizing lawn & snow equipment and other tools as needed.
  • Utilizes insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pests.
  • Completes minor maintenance of facility and office equipment, including fixing broken switches, fixing door handles, cleaning indoor and outdoor windows
  • Transports various items (tools, equipment, supplies) to other Menasha facilities
  • Moves and rearranges office equipment as required
  • Assures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of new and existing MSDS sheets and OSHA standards to help ensure a safe working environment
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to be on feet for a large portion of the day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in an office setting with time spent outdoors including inclement weather
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and standing required
  • Frequent kneeling, crouching and bending required
