About the job Business Development Manager EV Sales Manager (electric vehicle technologies) required for an innovative technology leader involved the development of game changing lithium-ion battery systems for the global automotive and energy storage industries.Our client has been instrumental in pushing the technological boundaries of lithium-ion battery-based electrification through the development and manufacture of game changing battery system technologies for a wide range of application areas.They now seek to recruit an adept Sales Manager to drive the companys growth in the United States targeting the passenger car and commercial vehicle marketsWorking closely with key decision makers within your target area you will be responsible for providing technical advice to customers and developing solutions. You will be responsible for the organisation and implementation of the sales process, from the initial customer requirement to the preparation of the quotation, pricing and closing of the deal.You will be expected to maintain high levels of support to existing customers and acquire new customers by carrying out market and competition monitoring to identify new applications and business opportunities.Responsibilities: -Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accountsDevelop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer baseBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationshipsPartner with customers to understand their business needs and objectivesEffectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentationsUnderstand category-specific landscapes and trendsReporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accountsYou will be able to demonstrate the following: -Degree in industrial engineering or an engineering degree with a commercial focusSolid knowledge of electric and hybrid drive technology using battery solutionsProven track record in series sales for passenger cars and commercial vehiclesA basic understanding of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and automotive engineeringExcellent negotiation and sales skills as well as a confident mannerThis is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading part in the establishment and growth of the companys core product offering across the United States.Interested Sales Managers with the proven experience of selling technical engineering solutions to automotive OEMs ideally electric vehicle manufacturing are especially urged to apply without delay.
