Civil Design Engineer

Well-established San Diego County Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm is looking for a highly motivated civil engineer with a minimum of three yers of experience in private land development to serve as a Design Civil Engineer.

Sowards and Brown Engineering has been providing a full range of Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Land Surveying services for over 37 years in the North County Coastal area. Our company has a successful history of employee longevity and development.

Our work covers exciting projects in all facets of land development, offering interesting design challenges requiring creative solutions. Work will include project design and management of land development projects from initial planning studies, preparation/processing of discretionary plans and construction engineering and surveying services.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
Minimum 3 years design experience and background in land development.
Surveying experience is strongly preferred
AutoCAD proficiency is required

Duties:
Preparation of preliminary/final engineering documents for residential and commercial projects.
Work responsibilities to include preparation of Topography Drawings, Planning & Feasibility Studies, Grading and Drainage Plans, Drainage Studies, Storm Water Management Plan Reports, Best Management Practices Plans, Record of Surveys, Easement Legal Descriptions and Plats, Tentative Maps, Subdivision Maps, and Condominium Plans.
Field surveying to include Topography Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and Construction Staking Surveys.
