Duties & Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Analyze incident and accident reports to identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels of the organization on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and develop solutions to mitigate risks. Conduct risk assessments and participate in the design and implementation of engineering controls to minimize workplace hazards. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to occupational health and safety. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activities including OSHA logs. Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and assist with inspections and investigations as needed. Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety performance. Monitor key performance indications (KPI's) and metrics to track EHS performance and identify areas for improvement. Conduct root cause analysis of incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify underlying causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Responsible for submitting claims to workers compensation carrier. Lead incident investigations along with leadership and supervisors, and ensure proper documentation and reporting as well as conduct follow-up and ensure corrective actions are completed when required. Promote the safety culture. Other duties as assigned by Manager. Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA (specific knowledge of Title V and Hazardous Waste), and other relevant safety standards. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective control measures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to achieving safety objectives. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to safety management. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Completion of OSHA 30 required. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on occupational health and safety.
