Description
Job Summary:
Heirloom Roses, an eCommerce nursery, seeks someone to manage and optimize our software systems that manage inventory, Website (Shopify) and shipping software. This person will be responsible for not only implementing and maintaining system integrations but will proactively use their Systems Analysis skills to optimize and meet the continuing business needs of the departments within the company.
Additionally, this role will be pivotal in enhancing our technological infrastructure by spearheading the search, selection, and implementation of our first ERP system. The ideal candidate will have experience with eCommerce systems, ERP implementations, and a strong background in logistics and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
? Integration Leadership: Responsible for the integration of our eCommerce website with inventory management and shipping software to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
? System Optimization: Analyze existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring optimal inventory levels, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
? ERP System Implementation: Lead the search, evaluation, and selection process for a new ERP system. Manage the implementation of the ERP system, ensuring it meets business requirements and integrates seamlessly with existing systems.
? Testing and Validation and Training: Develop and execute test plans for current and future system integrations and configurations. Creates and oversees user acceptance testing (UAT) and provides training to department users as needed.
? Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
? Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, ERP-specific certifications) are a plus.
? Experience: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, including hands-on experience with ERP maintenance and implementation. Experience with eCommerce platforms, inventory management, and shipping systems. Experience in the horticulture or nursery industry is a plus.
? Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP system evaluation and implementation, system integration, and familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), inventory management software, and shipping solutions. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SQL) and APIs is beneficial.
? Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and create clear documentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and build positive relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
? Project Management: Experience in managing ERP implementation projects, including overseeing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
