Job Description


  • High Level understanding level understanding of using most or all of our CI/CD tools
  • GitLab, BitBucket, CloudBees Jenkins, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudfront, EKS, Splunk, DataDog, AppDynamics
  • Experience making, reading, translating software development Jira stories (epics, acceptance criteria, user stories, etc), ability to build JQL across multiple projects and boards.
  • Experience in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS/On-prem)
  • Experience in an eCommerce or Customer Self-Service ecosystem
  • Experience working in or with ITIL-structured Enterprise IT teams
  • Strong Investigate Interviewing skills, ability to comprehend highly technical information and ask follow up questions
  • Strong application support skills, ability to understand a technical RCA



Nice To Have


  • Technical DevOps/Dev background
  • Familiarity with ITSM solutions (e.g., Cherwell ITSM, ServiceNow)
  • Certifications: ITIL Foundations, AWS CCP, AWS SA


Responsibilities:


  • Interviewing application team members to understand their current processes, rationale, dependencies, and concerns.
  • Collaborating with development and shared service teams to create or enhance processes to achieve compliance while improve efficiencies.
  • Auditing and performing gap analysis of operational process documentation, pulling in technical teams and SME’s and needed, including DR plans, access management policies, SDLC documents, and data flow diagrams.
  • Clearly defining and developing new policies, processes, and training documents.
  • Communicate with members of leadership and department teams to communicate new processes and changes to existing processes.
  • Encouraging adoption and adherence to processes.
  • Providing guidance to junior members of the team as needed.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • At least six years of experience in a software engineering or IT environment.
  • At least two years in a role responsible for process engineering, maintenance, and improvement.
  • At least 4 years’ experience working with or within a software development team.
  • Experience developing content on Confluence using a wide array of macros.
  • Ability to read, write, translate Jira stories from Development teams.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to capture and articulate technical and non-technical details, as well as elaborate process flows.
  • A strong, team-oriented spirit, and a positive, exuberant personality focused on learning and overcoming obstacles.
  • Excellent communication skills needed, the ability to write technical documentation in English.
  • Ability to speak clearly, confidently, and concisely in front of others both remotely and in person. Comfortable giving presentations to technical and non-technical colleagues, experienced in giving presentation to members of the leadership team.
  • Ability to be proactive and elicit necessary information from our development partners needed to arm our incident management team.
  • A solid understanding of Agile Methodologies.
  • The ability to rapidly learn, recite and teach complex, interwoven processes.
  • Experience working with teams supporting applications related to eCommerce or customer self-service is a plus.
  • Proven ability to align stakeholders to goals and negotiate to acceptable outcomes.
  • Organized and able to work across teams on multiple applications.
