Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team of 20+, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in accordance with company core values.
  • Ensure the engineering team is aligned with the company's goals and objectives, and that they have the necessary resources, support, and training to succeed.

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to the development of the companys strategic direction and ensure the engineering organizations goals are aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the company and making recommendations for adoption.
  • Lead the Engineering organizations efforts to maintain and exceed Security and Compliance requirements as the lead for enforcing the company Information Security Policy (AUP) and Secure Development Policies.
  • Collaborate with the CTO on the technology strategy, focusing on both immediate and future needs.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve engineering processes and best practices to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of products and features.
  • Lead resource planning and allocation to ensure efficient utilization of personnel and resources in collaboration with leadership.

Project Execution

  • Own the execution and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed the required quality standards and expectations ensuring scalability and robustness, especially for enterprise-level solutions targeting Fortune 500 companies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and support for business goals.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the SDLC including systems, reporting, and methodology.
  • Drive the execution and lifecycle of product development, ensuring all features are built to meet customer needs and company standards.
  • Prioritize and manage classic engineering problems, maintaining a balance between quality and speed.

Technical Oversight

  • While not required to be hands-on technically, maintain a strong understanding of the latest technical capabilities and industry trends.
  • Provide guidance on technical reviews, security assessments, and external-facing technology discussions.

Culture & Team Development

  • Hire and develop a team of go-getters who align with the companys values and culture.
  • Empower the team with default trust and minimal guardrails, ensuring they have the flexibility to innovate and collaborate effectively.
  • Make tough decisions, including hiring and firing, to maintain a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in engineering management, with a focus on software development and delivery, preferably with a large Enterprise or Startup.
  • Strong understanding of front-end (React) and back-end (Node, TypeScript, AWS) technologies.
  • Experience with platform management, particularly with tools like Azure.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling engineering teams and solutions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with a focus on customer and sales needs.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Preferred

  • Experience in enterprise-level solution development.
  • Background in AI and data integration technologies.
