A recognized medical services organization in California is looking to add a new, licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to their team in the Burbank area.In this role, thePhysical Therapist (PT) will be responsible forworking with patients in an outpatient setting who have a variety of orthopedic/musculoskeletal pathologies. About the Opportunity: Start Date: ASAP Assignment Length: Ongoing Schedule: Monday to Friday (4 to 5 days a week) Hours: 4 10-hour or 5 8-hour shifts Patient Population:Adults (but they do see all ages) Patient Volume: 2 patients per hour EMR:ECW Responsibilities: ThePhysical Therapist (PT)will: Provide physical therapy treatment to a variety of orthopedic patients Perform thorough PT evaluations according to state law and APTA guidelines Establish a plan of care for physical therapy for patients Provide EMR documentation in a timely manner to support treatment and treatment goals Evaluate patient outcomes to determine effectiveness of treatments Discharge patients appropriately and follow up with patients Oversee the Physical Therapy Aides Participate in care coordination meetings Assist in designing treatment protocols Participate in in-services Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy (New graduates are welcome) Thorough knowledge of Physical Therapy principles & practices Computer savvy Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Highly organized Desired Skills: Current CA Physical Therapist (PT) license Orthopedic background
