Security Guard The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for the dealership employees and customers in accordance with company policies. Essential functions include enforcing rules and regulations to provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors in accordance with company policies. This role also includes enforcing no-smoking policies, enforcing employee parking policies, arranging for the removal of vehicles that are illegally parked or have been abandoned on dealership property, ensuring that all individuals on company premises have legal right to be there, and assisting in the removal of individuals as required. The Security Guard investigates any wrongdoings such as theft, misconduct, and vandalism at the direction of the Supervisor and involves local authorities in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. They are responsible for complex keys, patrol, document, report, and follow up on safety and security hazards or infractions, and report all hazards and incidents promptly to management. They serve as a first responder for any security issues and respond to any emergency response situations on dealership premises. They also coordinate hours and coverage of security staff through a security vendor, serve as back-up to the safety coordinator for the facility, and maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer and in accordance with company policies. They comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials, follow all attendance and punctuality standards, adhere to timekeeping standards, follow the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, understand and follow all work rules and procedures, and follow lawful directions from supervisors. They uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements, maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policy, attend pertinent training on request, and attend company meetings as required.
