Job Summary

This position will be responsible for legal requests, acquisitions and divestitures, reconciliation activities, journal entries and debit balances (collections) activities. Responsibilities are moderately complex requiring more developed proficiency in various accounting techniques. This person is expected to give support, as needed, to other groups inside Continental Resources to ensure the overall success of our operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to projects within a team, function, or workgroup
  • Performs routine and structured work assignments
  • Gathers information and assists with legal requests
  • Processes owner correction journal entries
  • Tracks, communicates and assists owners in collecting debit balances
  • Performs reconciliations of all GL accounts assigned
  • Assists in managing any acquisitions, divestitures, and trades by providing necessary information and processing journal entries
  • Prepares and loads system value spreadsheets for ONRR compliance in OK and MT.
  • Helps manage Revenue Distribution email account regarding owner inquiries with revenue-related questions and respond courteously, timely, and accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • 5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with MS Excel
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry
  • Prior revenue recognition experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proficiency in MS Word
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
