The Equipment Finance Manager's primary role is to serve as the liaison between our outside sales force, customers, and lender partners in an effort to secure competitive equipment financing for retail machine purchases. A large majority of our end-customer sales transactions are financed or leased through a third party, heavy equipment lender. There are many variables to equipment financing and as the main point of contact between our outside salesforce, customers and our lender partners; the Equipment Finance Manager plays a vital role in securing the best possible financing solutions for our retail sales.

Responsibilities

  • The main point of contact for any equipment finance related matters pertaining to end-customer heavy equipment machine sales generated by our outside sales team.
  • Processing all finance and lease quote requests submitted from the Cowin outside sales team in a timely and accurate manner. This will include obtaining all necessary information and documentation from the salesmen and/or customer in order to comply with lender requirements.
  • Negotiating and securing the best rates possible with our preferred lenders to help win/close deals.
  • Maintaining all existing relationships with Cowin's preferred lenders, as well as establishing relationships with new lenders as/when necessary.
  • Processing, preparing, issuing, and explaining all approved finance documents directly to the salesmen and/or customer as necessary. This includes keeping track of all outstanding finance/lease documents that have yet to be returned to the lender for funding. This also includes a thorough review of all customer completed finance/lease documents to ensure accuracy prior to final submission to the lender.
  • Generating and processing Equipment Sales Agreements within ERP system on finance and lease deals that are ready to proceed to the final invoicing stage to end customers. This includes reviewing tax charges to ensure Cowin is properly accounting for all applicable taxes.
  • Effectively communicating all manufacturer issued finance/lease programs on a quarterly basis (or when issued by OEM). This includes filing and uploading to the Cowin intranet site in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high level of engagement for all active/pending finance deals, from the initial quoting phase to a completed and funded transaction.
  • Timely follow up with lenders on the status of funds pending issuance to Cowin and communicating this to the Cowin Controller to assist in cash flow planning.
  • Meeting with customers in person or virtually, when necessary, in order to assist in obtaining complete and signed finance documents.
  • Ordering insurance certificates for all approved finance deals, as necessary.
  • Processing and filing all necessary title work for titled vehicle sales when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Minimum four-year college degree
  • One to three years post-college work experience
  • Finance related work experience highly preferred
  • Personable, good communication and organizational skills while maintaining the ability to multi-task with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • Salary is based on experience level
