Bookkeeper Opportunity In Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. This contract to permanent role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational and financial management skills to support key operational and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate records, managing donor-related processes, and contributing to event-based financial tasks. Responsibilities: Record and process incoming donations with precision, ensuring timely entry into donor management systems and generating acknowledgments. Handle gala and event-related financial tracking, including pledges, sponsorships, and table sales. Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and other accounting systems. Provide support for grant writing initiatives and other fundraising-related tasks. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and organization-specific policies. Collaborate with team members to streamline donor operations and enhance data accuracy. Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed for leadership and stakeholders. Requirements: Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and maintain detailed financial records. Familiarity with donor management systems, such as DonorPerfect. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication abilities to interact with donors, sponsors, and team members. Experience in grant writing or fundraising is a plus.
