25% - 50% The L2 Network Engineer plays a key role in the delivery of GMI services. The focus of this role is to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. The L2 Network Engineer works under the direction of a Senior Delivery Manager who provides oversight and guidance. The primary function of this role is to act as a trusted advisor to our clients, supporting highly technical solutions through advising, designing, and implementation based on customer requirements. The L2 Network Engineer will be required to work with client staff, review and recommend system configurations, develop supporting documentation, provide continual guidance, and perform knowledge transfer to GMI clients. Key Roles and Responsibilities People

The L2 Network Engineer will: Demonstrate and promote an understanding and commitment to the GMI culture and core values Build credibility with clients by setting and executing against expectations in line with project scope Create detailed documentation including conceptual, logical, and physical designs Provide guidance to clients on-site and remotely, supporting their network infrastructure Work with Architects, Project Managers and Team Leads to ensure projects progress efficiently and in a timely fashion towards successful closure Maintain and proactively manage utilization target assigned by leadership Ensure accurate project time reporting and accountability to project tasks Speak fluently about GMI services and communicate business opportunities to the sales team Identify and foster industry relationships to promote the GMI brand Process

The L2 Network Engineer will: Understand client technologies from a strategic standpoint, identify areas of improvement to their technology solutions, demonstrate high level understanding of complex networks Work as a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation to successful implementation with special regard for client standards and expectations Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data networks including wireless Initiate research and formulate solutions without explicit direction Evaluate technology tools and develop knowledge to deliver assigned duties Design and implement industry leading technical network solutions Provide mentoring to peers Qualifications Education A bachelor?s degree in CS, Math, Engineering, MIS, CIS or related field is preferred, but not required. Skills and Certification Minimum of CCNA certification required Must have previous engineering/implementation experience with the following technologies:

Core networking experience ? route/switch Wireless networking Network monitoring TCP/IP Network Stack
