Learn more at insightsoftware.com Job Description insightsoftware is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to support our Business Intelligence Business Unit, reporting directly to the Director of Solutions Engineering. This position will focus on pre?sales support, technical discovery, and product demonstrations for our Power ON product. The ideal candidate is experienced in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and comfortable working directly with customers to scope, design, and demonstrate solutions. Primary Responsibilities Technical Expertise: Build deep expertise in our analytics and reporting solutions, including Power BI integrations, advanced modeling, and data platform capabilities. Client Engagement: Partner with Power ON account executives to understand prospect requirements and position the right solution. Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging demos that illustrate how our platform solves business problems across industries. Solution Design: Guide prospects through discovery and design processes, leveraging advanced Power BI and SQL skills to prototype and propose effective solutions. Proposal Development: Assist in technical portions of RFP responses, statements of work (SOWs), and project scoping documentation. Feedback Loop: Share field insights with Product, Services, and Engineering to inform roadmap prioritization and improve solution?market fit. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years in a customer?facing role such as sales engineering, analytics consulting, or pre?sales. Technical Skills Power BI: Strong proficiency with data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development SQL: Advanced SQL capabilities including complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers Communication Skills: Comfortable presenting to technical and non?technical stakeholders; able to simplify complex concepts. Discovery & Scoping: Ability to conduct effective discovery sessions, translate use cases into technical specs, and craft persuasive demo narratives.
