Our client, a Human Services non-profit organization, is hiring a motivated part-time Staff Accountant to assist their team during audit season. This is a contract role (2-3 months), fully onsite, three days per week, up to 24 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Conduct account analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Manage the general ledger and ensure proper recording of financial transactions
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
Provide support during audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and at least 3 yrs of relevant experience
Great Plains experience preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Must be willing to take on other projects/duties as needed or assigned
