About the Role:

We are seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to implement and maintain JYG's security program in compliance with federal regulations, such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The FSO will ensure the protection of classified information and assets, facilitates personnel security clearances, and acts as the primary liaison between the organization and government security representatives. Responsibilities also include processing and maintaining personnel security clearances, managing security documentation and rosters, and ensuring compliance with applicable defense security regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NISPOM and NIST requirements for DoD and other federal agencies.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and verify IT audits, risk assessments self-inspections, Insider Threat Program, and CUI auditing requirements.
  • Recommend security and vulnerability remediation strategies to IT management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incident response and investigations, including reporting to government agencies.
  • Oversee personnel security clearance processes, including initial submissions, reinvestigations, and maintaining clearance documentation in compliance with DCSA requirements.
  • Maintain Facility Clearance (FCL) and Personnel Clearance (PCL) documentation in accordance with NISS and DCSA standards.
  • Provide and document employee security briefings, annual refresher training, and debriefings.
  • Ensure compliance with NISPOM CFR Part 117 guidelines for classified holdings, transmittals, and safeguarding classified materials.
  • Represent the organization during DCSA audits, inspections, and security reviews.
  • Draft and manage DD254 forms for classified subcontractors.
  • Support internal teams (Human Resources, IT, Operations, Business Development) with security-related needs and documentation.
  • Oversee the organization's CUI program, assist with self-inspections, and act as an alternate CUI manager.
  • Organize and support the annual Insider Threat working group meetings, including documentation of findings.
  • Maintain accurate personnel security clearance records and access levels.
  • Facilitate annual PSI data collection and maintain updates in the NISS database.
  • Conduct and report on security training, including handling classified information and adherence to insider threat protocols.
Required Experience:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in industrial security or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of NISPOM and federal security regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with security clearance systems such as Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.
Highly Desired:
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+, SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), GSEC, or CCNA)
  • Prior experience working as an FSO or in a security-related role within a cleared facility.
