Responsible for providing thought leadership, direction, and subject matter expertise to first line partners. Constructively challenge first line partners to support the Bank's enterprise compliance program objectives. Ensure responsible growth by balancing business strategy with appropriate compliance risk mitigation and controls.

List job duties and responsibilities:
• Advise first line of business partners on regulatory requirements, appropriate processes and controls, and management monitoring protocols that ensure their respective day-to-day activities operate in a compliant manner, consistent with the Bank's compliance risk appetite
• Ensure the timely execution of the compliance testing program; identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and recommending corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; preparing detailed compliance testing work papers, summary of findings, and management reports regarding testing findings
• Research regulatory issues and respond to compliance questions from first line partners
• Manage the enterprise consumer complaint process
• Manage the Compliance Risk Management Team's approval of marketing and advertising
• Manage the Compliance Risk Management Team's intranet site
• Manage the Compliance Risk Management Team's business continuity efforts
• Assist with regulatory examinations and independent audit preparation and audit responses
• Manage audit and testing findings to completion
• Complete Compliance Project Risk Assessments as required to support various lines of business initiatives
• Manage and/or participate in projects with compliance/regulatory impact
• Represent the Compliance Risk Management Team on various projects, initiatives, and reviews
• Perform analysis and prepare reports regarding the Bank's CRA and fair lending performance
• Generate management reports/dashboards related to consumer complaints
• Collaborate with others on the Compliance Risk Management Team to proactively identify fair lending risks, determine root cause, and advise on potential remedial action plans
• Manage the enterprise HMDA data collection and HMDA data integrity process
• Manage the enterprise CRA data collection and CRA date integrity process
• Manage the submission of HMDA and CRA LAR annual regulatory reporting
• Manage the enterprise HMDA data statistical regression analysis (fair lending)
• Manage the enterprise consumer loan statistical regression analysis (fair lending)
• Manage the enterprise SAFE Act compliance program
• Perform Secretarial responsibilities for the Compliance Risk Committee
• Perform Secretarial responsibilities for the CRA and Fair Banking Risk Committee
• Function as facilitator in the absence of the Chief Compliance Officer for the Compliance Risk Committee
• Function as facilitator in the absence of the Chief Compliance for the CRA and Fair Banking Risk Committee
• Manage and process policies and procedures to adhere to regulatory requirements
• Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to, BSA and AML
• Any and all other duties or special projects as requested by management

The position performs duties specific to the position and acts in a leadership and management role to the Compliance Risk Management Team in the absence of the Chief Compliance Officer.

The position is responsible for the supervision of all the Compliance Risk Management Team employees and is expected to provide leadership, training and support to staff members.

• Degree: Preferred
• High School Diploma Required
• CRCM Certification Preferred
• Minimum of 10 years' experience as a bank compliance manager/officer, bank compliance auditor, bank examiner, bank auditor, retail/operations administration (or a combination thereof)
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Expert knowledge and understanding of regulatory risk, compliance risk management and applicable banking regulations impacting the financial services/banking sector
• Expert knowledge of bank operations, lending, products, services and delivery channels
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, legal documents, government regulations and professional publications
• Ability to identify and assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an effective and efficient manner
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to work independently and as a team member to meet objectives and goals
• Possess high emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain good working relationships
• Ability to work with exceptional attention to detail, and be able to perform duties accurately with multiple interruptions throughout the day
• Motivated, inquisitive, organized, detail-oriented
• Willingness to adapt to changing business needs, deadlines, and extended work hours
