What role will you play?

As a Commodities Surveillance Manager - Senior Manager, you will be part of the Risk Management Group in Houston, where you will oversee and collaborate on the surveillance program for one of the top commodities businesses in the Americas.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the trading activities comply with the relevant regulatory and internal requirements, and for developing and implementing processes and systems to enhance the surveillance program.

You will also work closely with various stakeholders across the business, compliance, technology, and risk functions.
What you offer
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience providing compliance and regulatory advisory support to trading and sales personnel or conducting surveillance/monitoring related to sales and trading activity in the North American physical power and gas market
Knowledge of commodity and energy OTC markets and market manipulation risks
Experience with FERC and CFTC regulatory actions and requirements;
Proven knowledge of trading systems, data structures, and interfaces; data manipulation and analysis skills.
Prior experience in market risk or operational risk in support of a physical gas trading desk.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks.

Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
