Position Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in both front-end and back-end development to join our team in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, SQL, C++, and Perl. This role will involve design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions that support semiconductor manufacturing processes, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Candidates local to the Austin, Texas area are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Identify, prioritize, and carry out tasks across the software development life cycle.

Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand user requirements and design intuitive user interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing software applications.

Develop clean, efficient code based on specifications.

Utilize tools and programming to automate tasks.

Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure smooth and responsive user experiences across multiple devices and platforms.

Optimizing application performance and reliability through thorough testing, monitoring, and debugging processes.

Document phases of development and monitor systems

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end and back-end development to continually improve our products.

Integrating front-end and back-end components to create cohesive and functional software solutions.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms

Proven working experience in Java development.

Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA, Hibernate), Oracle E-Business Suite

Experience in the Spring Framework

Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Spring MVC, Vaadin)

Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, JavaFX for front-end development

Proficient in multiple programming languages Java, Python, C/C++, Perl

Familiarity with version control systems like SVN or Git

Familiarity with Agile development methods

Interest in learning new languages and technologies.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working in cross-functional teams.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Desire to lead and collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and QA testers.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research, troubleshoot, and logically determine solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing Industry Experience

Mask-masking and Data Prep experience is desired

Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role, guiding junior engineers and fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
