SHIFT NIGHTS/HOURS: Every other Wednesday from 6 am to 6 pm, Thursday through Saturday

STARTING PAY: $23.00 - $27.00 an hour, depending on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Extrusion Press Operator III to join our team. As an Extrusion Press Operator III, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion presses to produce high-quality products. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Set up and operate extrusion presses according to specifications
  • Monitor the temperature, speed, and pressure of machines during production
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address and resolve technical problems
  • Ensure that all safety and quality standards are met during production
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or abnormalities
  • Operating the BLH/UBE press, including setting it up for specific products
  • Analyze, detect, and resolve problems as they arise
  • Provide assistance in making crucial decisions regarding the continuation of a die
  • Responsible for maintaining all measuring equipment/tools required for the job
  • Conduct quality checks on the extruded material
  • Perform all press-related AMs on a daily basis
  • Work unsupervised or with little supervision
What You Will Need:
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 5+ Year Experience in Aluminum Extrusion
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Press Certification Required (300 hours minimum training on the press with a certified Press Operator and pass the written test)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively, self-motivated, self-starter
  • Basic understanding of Aluminum Association Standards
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and travelers
  • Ability to understand and have experience using Applied Stats and ASCONA measuring system
  • Ability to work with measuring tools/devices such as micrometers, calipers, squares, protractors etc
  • A basic understanding of dies and their use
  • Ability to Identify quality grade levels and determine whether the product being ran meets the customers quality expectation
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull material weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers)
  • Maintain excellent attendance
  • Must pass company background check and drug screening
