Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Die Setter to join our team at Clearfield Metal Technologies. As a Die Setter, you will play a critical role in setting up molding equipment, including presses, and ensuring the production of high-quality metal parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up molding equipment, including presses, and ensure proper tooling and die placement
  • Perform 1st piece inspections and prepare press for operators' run
  • Work with engineering on potential process improvements and tooling changes
  • Handle and place product on appropriate skids or trays as described in control plans
  • Visually inspect parts for defects and stop equipment immediately if non-conforming product is being produced

Requirements:

  • Responsible for own quality and ability to follow process control plans
  • Responsible for house cleaning and keeping area neat and clean
  • Perform length and weight adjustments on standard action presses
  • Basic understanding and function of standard action presses
  • Proficient in blueprint reading
