Summary
Ensures professional Sales Calls using Hyatt’s Consultative Selling principles and SMART Selling philosophies.
Carefully plans Sales Calls into defined objectives.
Maintains a detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, features and services.
Conducts extensive competitor researches and maintains excellent Product Knowledge of the Hotel.
Systematically and efficiently calls on existing and potential clients within location and reports findings and opportunities to the Associate Director of Sales.
Pre-qualifies and targets major Companies and Government Departments, utilising Catering database and develops appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase hotel’s market share.
Ensures a high level of exposure for hotel through direct sales solicitation of telephone contact and written communications.
Professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities.
Meets and greets VIP guests upon arrival / departure.
Conducts regular Market Surveys and Competitor Researches.
Plans and makes Sales trips to Companies and Government Departments which is our current and potential clientele to explore into new Catering business opportunities.
Entertains and conducts site inspections to relevant Companies representatives / Government officials / delegates whenever required.
Establishes strong contacts to source for information in regards to companies and government functions / events.
Implements all Events sales action plans related to responsibility areas as outlined in the Marketing plan.
Achieves the monthly and annual personal target and the Events Sales revenue.

Qualifications
Assists with development of Events Sales employees to work following the operational, financial, administrative philosophies and ensuring employees are multi-skilled and perform multi tasks.
Through hands-on management, supervises closely all Events Sales employees in the performance of their duties in accordance with Policies & Procedures and applicable laws.
Delegates appropriately duties and responsibilities to equipped and resourceful employees, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
Instills and supports the Training initiatives and philosophies of the company and takes an active role in the training and development of employees.
Develops and assists with training activities focused on improving skills and knowledge.
Ensures employees have a complete understanding of Rules & Regulations, and that behaviour complies.
Ensures all employees maintain an up-to-date awareness of hotel product knowledge, current promotion, policy changes and appropriate internal communication.
Monitors employee morale and provides mechanism for performance feedback and development.
Conducts annual Performance Development, providing honest and appropriate feedback.
Effectively communicates guiding principles and core values to all levels of employees.
