Real Estate Paralegal

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal in our Westchester County office to assist us in our growing workload of commercial real estate transactions.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Serve as a liaison with clients and any external counsel to facilitate closing transactions.
• Assist Attorneys in all aspects of coordinating finance transactions from pre-closing to closing;
• Reviewing title commitments and underlying title exception documents;
• Detailed reviews of surveys and title commitments;
• Understanding and review of title exception documents;
• Due diligence inclusive or ordering searches:
• Ordering and review of zoning reports; and
• Knowledge and understanding of REA documents and estoppels.

Qualifications:

• MUST have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a LAW FIRM in residential or commercial real estate.
• Exposure to title and survey highly desired.
• MUST have reliable transportation to commute to our office near White Plains.
• Ability to multi-task and work on deals in different stages prior to closing.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
