This role is intended for someone that has a passion for pharmacy and exemplifies great customer service for the patients we serve. Nebraska Medicine pharmacist interns are involved with unique experiences such as Meds to Beds, pharmacy automation, compounding, pill packing and caring for complex patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing a positive patient experience, delivering medications to discharging patients and counseling them on their medications, dispensing prescriptions to traditional patients seen in our clinics and vaccine administration. The candidate selected for this position will work at our Nebraska Medicine pharmacy locations: the Durham Outpatient Center, the Lauritzen Outpatient Center, and the Bellevue Medical Center. Ideally this role will be for an incoming P1 entering pharmacy school in the Fall.The Pharmacist Intern role will be PRN/Casual, working weekday and weekends on both day/evening shifts. Shifts are 4 hours on weekdays and 4-8 hours on weekends. To be considered for this role, one must be currently enrolled OR enrolled for the Fall semester in an ACPE Doctor of Pharmacy Program and either a licensed Nebraska Pharmacy Intern OR Registered as a Pharmacy Technician.(also known as: Pharmacy Intern, P1).We partner with our physicians, nurses and other hospital staff to provide the best Serious Medicine and Extraordinary Care available in the region.
