Job Title: Controls EngineerTop SkillsControls EngineerCodesysstructured text EtherCATJob DescriptionCoordinate with controls engineering, hardware engineering, and software engineering teams in the development, implementation, testing, and debugging of PLC code for a robotic automation system. This includes developing automation programs using CodeSys as a development platform, primarily using Structured Text programming language, but also supporting other IEC-3 standard programming languages for PLCs. Perform integration of EtherCAT networked servo drives for synchronized motion execution of multi-axis systems with complex motion profiles using CodeSys. Integrate machine I/O devices, which can include but are not limited to fieldbus devices (e.g., EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, IOLink, digital and analog) using CodeSys. Develop Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) applications utilizing CodeSys HMI features and Allen-Bradley PanelView. Develop Functional Safety PLC applications using Bosch Rexroth CtrlX Safety controllers integrated with Bosch Rexroth CtrlX servo drives. Use industry best practices for PLC program development, such as variable definition and use, object-oriented-programming, identifying, and avoiding race conditions.
