Job Summary:A Clinical Allergy Specialist manages the day-to-day operations of the United Allergy Services allergy center, administering allergy tests, educating patients on allergen immunotherapy, administering processes, professionally interacting with providers and medical practice employees, and providing patient-centered care to the many allergy sufferers in the communities United Allergy serves. A Clinical Allergy Specialist performs clinical and administrative responsibilities in a medical provider's office and works directly under the supervision of a physician.Job Responsibilities: Develops and maintains an understanding of allergens, the allergic response, the UAS clinical protocols and the features and benefits of immunotherapy.Responsible for safe and effective immunotherapy processes to include the administration of quality allergy testing, and the formulation and preparation of the allergy immunotherapy.Responsible for educating patients on administering injections with the Immunotherapy.Ensures patient progress by following up with the patient and ensuring Immunotherapy is picked up on a timely basis.Completes all appropriate paperwork and ensures insurance eligibility is verified for each patient.Administers patient scheduling either in person, via phone or through UAS centralized scheduling protocols.Responsible for the handling and submission of all billing documentation to the appropriate office via applicable EMR systems or otherwise.Responsible for the maintenance and security of clinic inventory levels. Ensures that inventory is ordered and received.Develops and maintains effective, professional relationships with providers and medical office staff.Escalates patient or other questions to appropriate team member or provider in a timely manner.Responsible for meeting the strategic goals and objectives of the clinic and company pertaining to assigned clinic productivity and revenue.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Job Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in health sciences or business is preferred.A minimum of two years of full-time equivalent work experience in a healthcare, hospital, customer service, retail, or similar industry.Nursing or other medical technician certification(s) as required by the state or local area regulations for the clinic area (NY, NJ, and CT, unless otherwise required).Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities and ensure suitable and complete results.Ability to travel periodically within the local clinical area and occasionally overnight to other clinic or business locations when needed.Ability to work extended hours when necessary.If the role requires bi-lingual abilities, must be able to fluently and correctly communicate and translate messages verbally and in writing in language required.Experience with Salesforce, Workday and SharePoint will improve success.BenefitsEligible for monthly performance-based achievement bonusesOpportunities to participate in company contests for rewards.Employee and client referral bonus opportunityEligible for medical, dental, vision coverage and company paid life insuranceEmployee assistance program, including well-being support and other services.Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Paid Clinical and Non-Clinical Training 401k retirement plan with company matchDaytime and business week work schedules, no weekends or holidays required, unless otherwise required by clinic.Professional medical provider doctor's office environmentThe ability to make a meaningful impact on the daily health of patients.A family culture of respect and trustCareer advancement opportunities and career path plan
