The Accounts Payable Processing Internship is an excellent opportunity that offers you the chance to explore and learn what it's like working for a global transportation and shipping company. This is a paid, onsite, temporary position based in San Rafael, CA.
As an Accounts Payable Processing Intern you'll get the opportunity to support full cycle accounts payable processing, including administrative processes relating to invoice authorization and coding, discrepancy resolution, accurate data entry, reconciling statements, and system discrepancies.
The Accounts Payable Intern handles various clerical and administrative tasks and projects under direct supervision and guidance. You will maintain department KPIs and accuracy ratings; maintain accurate, timely, and thorough records in a proprietary database; perform data entry and maintain vendor information.
Goals & Objectives:
- Follow instructions to execute assigned tasks within required parameters and timeframes.
- Ask questions and seek clarification as needed.
- Complete various clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, document scanning and processing, organizing of files and materials, and assembly/collation of mailings, presentation materials, and information packets.
- May assist with phone and email correspondence and inquiries, research, and related tasks.
- May assist with data audit and reconciliation.
- May assist with distribution of supplies, mail, and/or other light materials.
- May assist with event planning and preparation.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some work or formal volunteer experience preferred.
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited degree or credential program preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software preferred.
Physical Demands, Work Environment & Travel:
Functions in an office environment.

The applicable salary range is aligned to one of 5 zones according to a cost of labor index for the geographic location of the role. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include related experience, education and training, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: Starting Rate: $20.00
